Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Birmingham Business Park
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (with 1-hour lunch break)
Hybrid, Full-time, 40 hours per week

Our client is a thriving, SME located in Birmingham Business Park. With a turnover of £5 million and a team of 25 dedicated professionals, the company continues to evolve, providing excellent services to its clients. We're recruiting a management accountant to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Financial Reporting

  • Production of management accounts - producing monthly P&L and balance sheet, posting all journals accordingly
  • Management information - Produce weekly reports to support informed business decisions and provide relevant analysis and insights
  • Budget preparation - assist with preparation of annual budget working closely with budget holders and Head of Finance
  • Balance sheet reconciliations - perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
  • VAT returns - preparation of quarterly VAT return
  • Cash flow forecasting - production of weekly cash flow forecast

Ledger Management

  • Oversee ledgers and financial processes
  • Purchase ledger - posting all purchase invoices and production of payment run files
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data

Growth & Development

  • Adapt financial processes to meet the demands of a growing business
  • Support the expansion of the business by managing financial systems effectively

Candidate Requirements

Background & Qualifications

  • Part-qualified accountant (study support will be offered)
  • Strong organisational and self-management skills
  • Ability to produce accurate financial data and insightful analysis
