Our client, an evolving business in the West Midlands, is looking for an Interim FP&A Project Manager for a six-month ongoing contract. The consultant will support the company in achieving financial excellence and supporting strategic decisions.

The consultant will collaborate with the Finance SLT and Board to provide critical thinking and help develop, build, and execute financial strategy. This will involve navigating multiple and changing priorities and projects, including managing cost pressures and identifying opportunities for revenue growth.

Location: West Midlands (2 days pw onsite)

Contract length: 6 months +

Candidate Rate: £650-£750 per day (outside IR35)

Key Responsibilities of the Interim FP&A Project Manager

  • Develop and lead the positioning of financial forecasting, budgets, and reporting performance with the Finance teams.
  • Produce timely and meaningful insights, reports, and projections using robust, accurate, and validated data sets.
  • Review and develop the commercial evaluation of new business and product opportunities across multiple jurisdictions to ensure alignment with company strategy and financial goals.
  • Provide high-standard expertise, strategic partnering, and financial analysis support to executive and SLT stakeholders.

Requirements of the Interim FP&A Project Manager

  • CIMA, ACA, and ACCA qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience in supporting & partnering with senior and C-suite business stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, data visualisation tools).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities/projecrs in a fast-paced environment.
