Gleeson Recruitment Group partnering with this PE-backed service provider based in Birmingham, to recruit a new Head of Financial Reporting.
This company is a leading provider of professional services, with a global presence and a reputation for excellence. They are looking for a Head of Financial Reporting, with first class technical accounting skills, to join their team and lead the financial reporting function.
As the Head of Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, ensuring that all financial statements are accurate and comply with regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for managing a team and providing guidance and support to other departments within the company.
Responsibilities to include:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage the financial reporting team and provide guidance and support in their career development.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the financial reporting process, in line with IFRS.
- Ensure that all financial statements are accurate and complete.
- Liaise with auditors and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ongoing project work to include improvement of processes and controls, working towards a 'best in class' environment.
- Playing a significant role in the integration of acquisitions.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA), ideally having trained with a top 10 accountancy practice, before moving into a financial reporting role within industry.
A confident and credible communication style is important, as you lead a team through a period of change and engage with stakeholders as the technical lead within the finance function.
Resilience and a desire to continuously improve will also be required, as this rapidly growing business progresses through it's transformation journey.
This is an exciting role for a technically strong chartered accountant with ambitions to progress through to a Director position over time.
Package on offer: £90,000-£95,000 + excellent benefits package.
