An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Commercial Finance to join a dynamic multi-site retailer in Birmingham, West Midlands. The Head of Commercial Finance will play a crucial role in driving business performance through financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning.
The Head of Commercial Finance will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, while providing valuable insights to the Operations and Executive teams. This role requires a proactive individual who can develop and monitor action plans to enhance performance across the business.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and develop a teams within management accounting and FP&A, setting objectives and managing performance.
- Own the budget process and improve financial projections and forecasting processes.
- Partner with department Heads to provide insightful analysis and develop action plans.
- Lead performance reporting processes to deliver accurate and impactful analysis.
- Prepare and submit weekly P&Ls and period-end reporting to the Group Finance team.
Skills & attributes:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with significant experience in strategic planning and business partnering.
- Retail sector experience.
- Expert in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products, with excellent organisational skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of conveying complex information effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of driving results and building effective relationships across the organisation.
